Just a quick up to date on what I’ve been up too… making fonts, that’s what.

Fontography

I’ve got 2 in production right now, a handwritten script (Timmo) and a grunge font (Norkish). I’ve also been thinking of putting some of my other fonts I’ve produced over the years up on dafont.com. I’d hate being known for Orange Book and nothing else. When I finish these two I will also make available the following early versions of the old fonts: Fueled By Schlitz, I Hate Astronauts and Bleek on remedy667. Hope you’re excited, I know I sure am…

Open Studios

I’ve been drawing a lot… a lot of drawing a blank. I need some ideas for this, I think I may be at a loss… but I want this to go to print by tomorrow. I’m thinking of going with a horror theme, or something with pumpkins… hmmmm, we’ll see. Check back tomorrow for this conclusion. As for now, I’ve got to clean… then it’s off to the foundry.

The Immediacy of Now…

Sunday, September 5th, 2010

With the sudden onslaught of cold days one can only grasp his gin & tonic and wonder… has the summer finally gone for the season? I say answer with questions… Who really gives a fuck? Now onto more pressing matters. I’ve got a few collages leftover from the festival, and I’m thinking about reopening my etsy shop so that people interested can order some. I will base my continuation of this process based on it’s popularity. Well… at the moment, it’s looking old as fuck. I presume it shall get quite the refresh in the next few weeks though… anyway, it’s going to be located here:

…I’ll post links to it from my facebook and also from all of my blog sites. Hmmm… all this typing is boring, let’s look at some pictures, shall we?

Good Life - A - V1 Good Life - B - V1

Wow… would you look at that… the first draft of a job for the 5&10 bar. Yep, that’s all you get for right now… I’m not happy until I am, and trust me… I’m not. Not yet at least, not with this… Anticipate it’s finish. We’ll see if I like it more, or less… you be the judge. Til next time…

A Dead Man’s Work is Never Done

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

As it would appear (in the nature of having a slight work addiction) I have somehow lined up quite a collection of freelance jobs. With the PAF finally being over I find it quite reasonable to go back to my busy schedule, but working on art instead of designing other peoples ideas was quite a welcome vacation. Current projects include 3 upcoming website designs, a flyer & 2 posters. More info to come… it’s going to be a long holiday weekend.

People’s Arts Festival

Now as for that, well… on Saturday (just in case anyone missed it) I got extremely drunk as according to plan. Other than alcohol I also spent a bit of money on art as I tend to at these sorts of things… and my daily flickr views has grown quite a bit since the festivals close. Speaking of that… here are some pictures…

Oh well… time to start preparing for work. More information coming soon… and a new revised portfolio site is on the way.
