Wonderland…
Anyone planning on attending the Wonderland Show? I have no idea where to get tickets… I would assume you just buy them as you enter same way you would any event at Theatre Bizarre. Check their myspace page… http://www.myspace.com/wonderlanddetroit. These events are always fun, and I strongly urge anyone to do yourself a favor and check this out.

Detroit Art Battle…
The date changed. It was the 18th, now it’s the 17th. Pretty important if you don’t want to be a day late and a dollar short. Also, this is the second annual, and I heard something about this being in a bigger space to help better accommodate a large turn out. So remember, April 17th.

People’s Arts Festival 2009…
Hey, that wasn’t in the email… that’s right! I wanted some more confirmed information, but as of right now I’ve been hearing that it’s going down in August this year. So, make some time and room… I’ve already been told that I should be recieving some information for the website soon…

…in the world of Self Promotion.

So, for the sticker show I went through a shit load of trial and error. Eventually I settled on the owl, that Nicci had me put together for Kim’s handbag. I thought the generic photoshop clipart heart really worked perfectly with the design too. Might I say, delicious? So delicious in fact that my second sticker makes reference to the famous Andy Warhol banana…

and as an added bonus, maybe I’ll send them the everything sticker…

Just a couple of newer posters I’d been working on for the new year, I kinda dropped the ball back in 2008 with a steady drop in Click’N’Prints, and a shortage of gigposter designs. Fear not, I have a feeling this going to be a good year for things of this sort…

All of these are type-heavy, but I’m not saying that was a good thing, I just got on a kick of doing a bunch of posters at once. The first 2 are vectors made in illustrator 100%. They can be whatever size you want, any ting you want…

This last one was made in Photoshop, from an old piece of retro clip art I found and did some manipulation to. Bad manipulation by the way… check out the hand holding the knife in the full view and you’ll see what I mean. The “R” in Killers was originally supposed to have a knife shape on the descender, but hey, you can’t have everything. At least I saved myself from redundancy by a little bit. Anyway, it’s all the usual 2 color BS…

I don’t even want to get into all the drama that went along with this piece, all I’ll say is…

This is going to be a pretty sweet show.I’m excited to see the Underground Railroad to Candyland, and for those keeping count. Some other good shows coming up are: the Toadies at the Majestic, and Star Fucking Hipsters at the Trumbleplex.
